I’m taking it right back to 2012 with today’s post. I can’t remember the last time I wrote a wish list post – it must have been years ago! These days I try to be more mindful about my purchases and only buy things after a lot of careful consideration.
I am seriously lacking in the summer wardrobe department though, and since I’m going to Slovenia in August there are a few things I have my eye on. Here’s what I’m hoping will be on my summer holiday packing list.
1 // Nike Iconic Bikini Bra & Shorts
Since I went vegan I’ve felt much more confident in my body and shopping for swimwear no longer fills me with dread like it used to. As this summer will be spent mountain hiking and lake swimming I’ve decided to shun my usual frills and bold prints in favour of something a little more athletic. It’s been a few years since I bought new swimwear, but this little Nike number is currently winging its way over to me.
2 // Birkenstock Arionas
It took a long time for me to warm to the idea of Birkenstocks but I’m so glad I did. I wore my last pair to death in South America and I was really pleased that there are vegan options available too. They’re just the ultimate comfy but stylish travelling shoe.
3 // Panasonic Lumix G DC-GH5
It’s been a long time coming but I think I’m finally ready to invest in a new camera. I’ve been using a very basic compact camera for all my travel photos since 2013 and though it’s done me well I’ve been really noticing its limitations recently. My search for the best CSC camera has led me to the Panasonic Lumix range and I’m so intrigued my the 6K PHOTO feature.
4 // Kånken Fjällräven
The idea of spending £70 on a bag genuinely makes me feel a bit ill but I want to start trying to buy less and buy better. I’m not a handbag kinda girl and I already have an extensive tote bag collection but I don’t really have anything practical. I’ve had a Kånken on my wishlist for years now, mainly beacuse I can’t decide which colour to get!
What’s on your summer holiday packing list?
